SABRINA LAWRIE Dreamstate Tour

Sabrina Lawrie is screaming back to the scene with her new rock single ‘Dreamstate’.  After two years of wild growth and overcoming personal challenge, Lawrie was forced into an unplanned hiatus on the back of her critically acclaimed ‘Hush The Mountain’ Debut album release of 2018.

In early 2019, three weeks after removing the metalwork from her spine following the recovery of her broken back, Sabrina’s partner was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer (Glioblastoma) and given less than 6 months to live. A complete shock which turned their lives completely upside down. The making of her second album was abruptly put on hold while the pair navigated their new reality, treatment, healing and a new way of life.

They moved closer to nature, set up a home studio and began recording and producing new music together as a tool to heal in what seemed a hopeless situation. There they hatched a special collaboration together, ‘Bast N Move’ which has become the vehicle for Sabrina’s more electronic urges, ultimately opening her path back to guitar and rock through her solo project again.

“We have beaten the odds so far through the power of music, plant medicine and holistic self care and we are focused on living in each moment as presently as we can, so we are both over the moon to be finally finishing and releasing music and being able to play together on a stage again after such uncertainty, Ben is going to join me on lead guitar for this run of shows to celebrate the release of Dreamstate”.

Sabrina’s new single explores the polarity of masculine and feminie and pays homage to the magic behind sexuality and acknowledges how this most natural of human impulses is a sacred union, attempting to shake the stigma anmd desensitisation that mainstream society places on sex today.
